Go Eng Girl – Saturday October 18, 9:00am – 3:30pm Attention Grade 9 Girls! Go ENG Girl is coming to BC! This popular Ontario event will be making its debut on the west coast on Saturday, October 18th. Its an exciting opportunity for grade 9 girls across BC to visit UBC Engineering on our beautiful Point Grey campus, to learn from women professionals, academics, and students about the wonderful world of engineering. You will enjoy fun, hands-on activities led by current university students, meet amazing mentors, and tour one of our top research labs. Parents are welcomed to a parent information session later in the day. Learn why engineering is an amazing career opportunity for your daughter, and how to encourage her to consider all of her options as she moves forward in her secondary and post-secondary education. An optional advising session is also available at the end of the day for those who would like to learn more about UBC Engineering programs, opportunities, and admission requirements. · Date: Saturday, October 18, 2014 · Time: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm. Optional parent program from 2:30 - 3:30 pm; optional advising session from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm. · Location: UBC Vancouver Point Grey Campus. The registration deadline is Wednesday, October 15, or when we reach capacity. The event is limited to 100 young women in Grade 9 (look for Grade 8 and Grade 10 events in the spring).
