Gods promise fullfilled means that we have new hearts. Our hearts are good. Or Gods a liar. Until we embrace that stunning truth, we will find it really hard to make decisions, because we cant trust what our hearts are saying. Well have to be motivated by external pressure since we cant be motivated by our hearts. We wont find our calling, our place in Gods kingdom, because that is written on our hearts desires. Well have a really hard time hearing Gods voice in a deeply intimate way, because God speaks to us in our hearts. Well live under guilt and shame for all sorts of evil thoughts and desires that the Enemy has convinced us were ours. Worship and prayer will feel like chores. Jesus said each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thorn bushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. Luke 6:44-45 ❤️ And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest. Luke 8:15 ❤️ Jesus himself teaches that the heart can be good and even noble. Ig you belong to Him. Our hearts have been circumcised to God. We have new hearts. What would happen if we believed it, if we came to the place where we knew it was true? We would never be the same. If we believed that we could do anything. We would follow him anywhere!
