Good Morning! Dad is still with us and really seems to be happy here. Sorted out all his medicine by 6am, took Phrillo out for his morning walk and have laundry going this morn. Dad is now up at seven enjoying eating his sausage biscuit from Johnnys Truck Stop. So thankful to whoever cooked it for him yesterday. Yes I said yesterday...Dad is eating left overs this morning...LOL! Larry goes to buy breakfast every morning and is back by 9am...but Dad just was just to hungry to wait, so he ate before Larry returned. Several times this week, Dad has asked, Do you reckon David (my brother) has my room ready in N.C. yet? I just have to keep reminding him, David will call when its ready...theres more work that needs to be done. I fill him in on the progress, such as the cleaning, the carpet has been placed, his bed has been set up...etc.. Now the kitchen has to be repaired and groceries have to be bought. So to ease his mind, I tell him, I cant send you up there if there is no food to eat, can I? He looks at me with a thoughtful eye and grins his boyish grin (he-he!) and says, I reckon not. A couples hours go by and hes asking the same question, so my answer is, I have to make sure there will be someone there to cook for you. I cant send you there if nobody is there to cook for you can I? Once again, his reply is, I reckon not! That boyish grin lights up his face once again. LOL! Yesterday evening we were sitting on the porch talking about one thing, then another when Dad makes the statement, I like it here. I asked, Dad, if you had a choice of where to live, where would you like to live? He answered, I dont know, nobody never ask me that. That almost made me cry when I saw that solemn look and heard that solemn tone in his voice.
