>>Good afternoon all, the Lows off the Qld coast are failing to get themselves organised due to unfavorable upper level environments. Most weather models are predicting the Lows to head off to the SE away from QLD over the next few days but as they head south they will drag the monsoon with them which will increase showers/rain across most parts of the north come Thursday/Friday. Also an inland trough will push further east during this period & interact with the monsoon, possible creating heavy rains in most of our coverage area. >>The current weather situation has the monsoon trough extends across southern Cape York Peninsula to a low over the northwestern Coral Sea. A high near New Zealand extends a weakening ridge onto the east Queensland coast to the south of the monsoon trough. A trough extends from central Australia and into southwestern Queensland. The trough is expected to shift further east over the interior of the state on Tuesday and should extend from the northwest into the southeastern interior by Wednesday.
