Good afternoon ladies and gents, Hope youre all enjoying a warmer day with much clearer skies! A nice NorEasterly sea breeze has moderated air temps when it became established but in true Illawarra nature the beachside was a good 2 - 3c cooler than a few km inland. With warmer weather, surface moisture and a trough parking itself through NSW, storms are on the cards. Whether Illawarra will have one tomorrow is quite hit and miss due to a Southerly change due through tomorrow morning about 9am - 10am. Southerlies tend to rob us of instability especially on the coast. However if we look over towards Canberra, conditions in its proximity exist which are getting the tongues wagging of all of us whom love to chase. Out towards Young and Central Tablelands on the dryline later in the day look quite nice for some storm activity too. Some areas initially too moisture starved. At morning obs check I think I will be jetting down the Hume heading towards the Golden Arches of Goulburn and preparing to run South along the Eastern side of Canberra during the afternoon. (Mr Adams aka Stumbles seems to be thinking in unison too). At any rate thats just a really basic outline of my thoughts based on checking multiple model parameters, now to see how we go. (big difference between theory and reality). Mr Thompson I am sure will be in soon with a comprehensive wrap up of the situation concerning our region forecast wise and anything else. I just primarily wanted to start the topic. - Stephen
