Good idea or scrap it? I was thinking of doing Quilt As You Go scrappy pattern that can be used as a base for other things. My thought process says this would be a way to make pot holders, stockings, purses, etc that coordinate but do not match. For example, use kitchen-y fabrics, make a big piece of QAYG quilt, then cut out pot holders, oven mitts, and napkin rings. Additional question: Id want stitching no more than 1 apart. Would it be better to use thin strips for lots of stripes, or add more quilting after completing the QAYG piece?
