Good morning! We do have some patchy fog in the area this morning, however the National Weather Service has canceled their Dense Fog Advisory. Dense fog will not be as widespread as previously expected, however it may still be patchy so do take caution if traveling this morning, especially before 9 AM. Otherwise, today will feature mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid-80°s inland with lower-80°s for lakeside areas. We will still be seeing dew points in the low- to mid-60°s. Tonight into tomorrow will bring with it a chance sf showers and thunderstorms. These are expected to be scattered in variety and a few storms on Friday afternoon and evening do have the potential of being strong to severe. We will be watching that closely and will bring you the very latest on the storm situation as it develops. I expect Saturday to be nice again with mostly sunny skies with another chance of storms coming in on Sunday. Labor Day will be sunny with lower dew points--and also lower temperatures. Highs on Labor Day will only be in the low- to mid-70°s. Temperatures in the 70°s and low dew points will continue through at least the start of the next work week. -Alex Moxon (6:52a)
