Good morning everyone! We are happy to announce that we will be opening up again tomorrow, on Friday, September 19, 2014, from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm. We will have available the following: yellow squash, zucchini, banana peppers, eggplant, and lots of cucumbers. We look forward to seeing everyone again and are in hopes to have a great fall/winter season. We have a lot planted and everything is looking great. Due to several customers’ requests, we will be offering a Fall CSA program for pickup at the farm. We are going to start off with a 5 week program, and we are in hopes to extend the program for another 5 weeks after we insure availability of the produce. The cost to join the CSA is $100.00 now for 5 weeks of boxes containing approximately $20.00 of produce each week. Each box will contain a variety of produce each week, and each member will have first option of whatever is producing before we sell to the public in exchange for their loyalty. The CSA program is explained in more detail on our website, under the CSA Program tab. The purpose of the CSA is help with farm expenses at the beginning of the season, and thanks to everyone’s overwhelming support of our farm, we would like to make improvements to our farm stand, and install a large canopy around the building to allow us to grow and have more room to sell from and to make your shopping experience more enjoyable. We hope to be starting the CSA the week of September 29, 2014 and we need to receive the contract and payment by the start of the program. We are also excited to announce that we are offering farm field trips this year during the months of October and November. The information on the field trips is on our newsletter on our website, robinfarms, or you can contact Jamie for more information at 337-789-3776. The dates are already going fast, so book your field trip today! We will offer family fun days to the public, with activities for the kids, photo opportunities, etc., those dates are pending.
