Got a letter in the mail from ken Block. One of his platform topics is to ban seasonal employees from collecting unemployment. He says, by altering the definition of the seasonal employee, we eliminate the group of people who are layed off each year around the same time, and collect unemployment. Other states dont have this problem, so we need to stop this. UH Ken, its called WINTER, you ass, how do landscapers cut grass under 20 inches of snow? How do beach workers work in 10 degree weather? How do pool contractors work in winter? How do snow plow guys work in summer? How do heating contractors work in summer? How do AC guys work in winter? How do Asphalt contractors pave roads in winter? the plants that make Asphalt close in Nov. How do nurseries work in winter? How do siding installers and roofers work in winter? How do marinas work when all the boats are out of the water? How do golf courses work in winter? This is one of the reasons I wont vote for this guy. he is closed minded, short sighted, and needs some real lessons. Another item on his list, severely changing the general Assembly as the Governor. Yeah, good luck with that, and good luck getting anything changed when you bash the lawmakers right out of the gate.
