Got a response from my Congressional Representative today via email. As usual, the response is filled with a bunch of filler, but at the end he finally gets to the question posed, "...the United States should only pursue military action if our national security is at stake, which, at this point, it is not. Given the information I have regarding this situation, I do not approve of intervention in Syria." Please know that I am a firm believer that we are not engaging Syria militarily right now because of the overwhelming response by the American People. I am confident that had we remained silent and not overwhelmingly sent phone calls, emails and other communication to Congress, news stations, etc...we would no doubt be engaged in another middle east conflict. Stay in the loop and remain engaged...and thank you to all who did join in contacting representatives.
