Got asked to go into Inspira today to give a talk about my background and why I do volunteer work. Inspira do a fantastic 3 week of activities with school leavers. Week 1 outward bounds weeks 2 life skills and week 3 volunteer work. I think this is a marvellous thing giving the youngsters a taste of volunteer work at that age. They all choose a project to do in week 3. So we discussed the projects and I gave some advice to help. Some of the young people will be helping with some elderly gardens with me in the next few weeks. Got another 4 talks to do too so hopefully recruit some more.
