Gov. Martin OMalley just cut more than $200 million from his last budget and laid the groundwork for additional millions in savings. It was a first step, but obviously, theres a lot more work that needs to be done, Hogan said. The reason I was elected governor is because I said we need to get our economy on track, and that is exactly what we are going to do. Its not going to be one particular industry. Weve got to put people back to work all across our state. Hogans cabinet picks reflect that goal. He named four more members of his cabinet as he gets set to take the reins in Maryland in two weeks. Hogan announced Thursday his picks for cabinet secretaries for the Department of Planning, the Department of Aging, the Department of Housing and Community Development and the Department of Business and Economic Development.
