Grange United Update Weekend Results: FAI Junior Cup Third Round: Grange United 3 ( Eoin Fowler, Kev Farrell, Mousey Wright ) Ballyouster 2 Mousey Wright came off the bench and scored the winner for the second week in a row, sending the Grange into the fourth round of the FAI Junior. Eoin Fowler got Grange off to the perfect start when he beat the Ballyouster keeper in the air and headed into the empty net to put Grange one up. Grange continued their good start when Fowler headed on a long ball from Phil Russell, which Kev Farrell then superbly controlled and fired it past the Ballyouster keeper. Grange took their two-goal lead into the half and looked set for the fourth round, however Ballyouster had different ideas. Ballyouster came out with nothing to lose in the second half and they worked hard to get themselves back into the game. They pulled one back when their striker shot through a group of bodies, Phil Russell got a hand to the shot but it wasnt enough to keep it out. The away side then levelled the tie when one of their midfielders scored with a fine thirty-yard effort. The tie looked destined for extra time, but Paul Whelans three substitutions were influential in the winning goal. Keith Lally dispossessed a Ballyouster midfielder, laid it to Lee Roche who then put in Mousey Wright who slid the ball home with a 91st minute winner, putting Grange in the hat for the fourth round. AUL Division One Saturday: Grange United 0 FC Hibernian 2 The Saturday sides recent run of good form came to an end at home to FC Hibernian. FC Hibernian got off the ideal start when they were awarded a free on the edge of the Grange box, their midfielder stepped up and curled the ball into the top corner. Neither side created many chances in the remainder of the half, which was largely affected by the gale force winds. In the second half Grange came out in search of an equaliser, however they found themselves two down when one of the Hibs players charged down a clearance and the ball spun into the Grange net. The best Grange chance of the game fell to Mousey Wright, however he failed to find the net with his effort.
