Great Losses, Great Pay Joel 2:24-27 When faced with various losses in our lives, we wonder what the end result will be. God is true to His word and He has promised to repay us for the years the locusts (what I term losses, see the similarity LOcust LOsses) have stolen from us. Have you suffered loss in your finances, ministry, education, relationships, family, health, career, spiritual life or any other area of your life? God will repay you for what the great locusts, young locusts; other locusts and the locust swarm have eaten verse 25. Whether great or small, a loss in our lives is very significant. It requires God’s great army to deal with these great losses. In their place, you shall have plenty to eat until you are full... see verse 26. Losses prompt people to feel embarrassed. Humiliation is a doorway to low self-esteem and self-confidence. The greatest comfort is emphasized in both verse 26 and 27...never again will you be put to shame. Pearl of Thought: No matter what kind of loss you have encountered, God’s great army will help you to be an over-comer. Whatever was taken away from you shall be repaid and NEVER again will you be ashamed :)
