Greetings Mighty Barony! We would like to begin our first report to the Barony as Baron and Baroness with recognition to Master Arontius and Mistress Laurellen for their years of service to the Barony of Dragons Laire. We build on the history and glory of our Barony which would not be possible without the work and sacrifice of the Barons and Baroness that came before. We would like to thank everyone who traveled to Crown Tourney and supported us at our Investiture. We are so moved by the outpouring of support we have received from our beloved Barony. It made us feel so proud and humble to look over our shoulders and see that amazing crowd of people escorting us into court. We would also like to thank all the people who assisted in our investiture celebration and contributed food & drink. It was so very inspiring to see Old Guard along with the new, and everyone in between at the party. We were reminded of how many talented, inspiring and amazing people we have here in Dragons Laire. Special thanks to Mistress Jeanae and THL Kassandra for organizing Saturdays party for us. Thank you to Baron Ralg for making pancakes and french toast on Monday morning and to Baron Bernie and Baroness Tsuruko and Dame Ellen for helping continue that great Dragons Laire tradition. It was much appreciated. We would also like to mention Lady Isabelle who received her Award of Arms from Mighty Styrkarrs and Beauteous Stjarnas hands as well as a congratulation to Gwion Bach who received his Award of Arms but missed his name being called into court. He would like to receive this award formally at Harvest Feast from our hands which is a great honour to us. There were also many of the populace doing what Dragons Laire does best and that is serving this great kingdom. His Lordship Loghaire organized and ran archery, His Lordship Myrick marshalled the YAC tournament, His LordshipThangbrand heralded the Ladies of the Rose tournament, Her Ladyship Kassandra taught a bobbin lace class and Lady Xian and Lady Inga helped with the Crown lists. We would like to personally thank Her Ladyship Aileen for entertaining our son Roman. We cannot express how invaluable her help is to us. She looks after the most precious person in our life when our duties take us from camp, and we never want her to feel under appreciated. There were so many people fighting and shooting and serving that truth be told it was hard to keep track of all the things the Baronial populace did. Quite frankly we have not yet the skill that our predecessors had in being able to spot and remember everything the people of the Barony does at events. We will work on developing that. Of special personal note we were inspired greatly by Lady Andromache, who was invited to fight in the Ladies of the Rose and Valorous Estate tournament. She deported herself quite well. We are also grateful for all the support we received from Baroness Tsuruko and Mistress Madrun, Dame Brighid and Sir Cedric and Mistress Jennae as well as Mistress Aellianora who organized our Retinue and His Lordship Renart for insisting on attending us even though we werent quite ready to receive the amazing compliment that wanting to attend us really is. There were so many others who jumped in to do just that like Lady Kloe, Lord Telamon, THL Elizabeth, Sir Andras and THL Liesl all were ready to help at a moments notice. We would like to welcome Mlady Norma. Crown was her very first event and she was a delightful addition to our camp. This Barony is Mighty and a driving force in this Kingdom, it is an Honour of deepest humility to be given this chance to serve. We look forward to meeting this test and seeing the destiny and history of Dragons Laire. In Joyful Service Conchobar MacEoin Baron Eilidh Keldeleth Baroness
