Gregory “Bert” Mauthe, 62 of Kittanning, died Tuesday, July 02, 2013. He was born June 1, 1951 to George and Barbara (Taylor) Mauthe. “Bert” worked as an electrician. He was also a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the Kittanning Eagles, Kittanning Men’s Club and the Latin American Club. “Bert” also enjoyed playing horseshoes, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and gardening. He will be missed deeply by his father, George, of Ford City; daughter, Dana Lynn; stepson, Donnie Ion; brother, Eric (Lisa) Mauthe of Vandergrift; sister, Sheila Shirey of Vandergrift; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and best friend, Bobby Klingensmith of Kittanning. “Bert” was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Bradley Mauthe; and sister-in-law, Mandy Mauthe. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held from 10 until 11:30AM Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the funeral home. The Kittanning Eagles will hold a service at 11AM during visitation. A memorial service will follow at noon within Riverfront Park in Kittanning.
