Group input needed: Is it better to avoid court at all cost or should I take my chances. In mediation I got full custody. Should I leave well enough alone. He has been charged with child abuse a few yrs ago and hasnt been allowed to be alone with them since. They are refusing to have anything to do with him. In our stipulation tho it talked about standard visitation and that has changed because we moved several hrs away- and hes hiding income upwards of twenty grand extra. He thinks I dont know that he has two jobs. He and his attorney have not acted in good faith as theyve hidden assets etc. I believe N is likely hiding his pensions in job number two so as to avoid splitting them with me. Im pretty sure I can get a judge to make him pay my attorney fees- and let me get an attorney and sanction them for acting in bad faith several times. But Im not sure if its worth the fight since I have full custody and they refuse to have any contact- he of course thinks thats my doing- but I find that extremely unhealthy. Theres a visitation place down where I live that Ive offered for him to see them there- but they refuse to be around him. They are 14 and 12- well twelve later this year. So I know there are like twenty questions wrapped into one post, but based on experiences of others what would you advise me to do. I plan to move and get a job out of state as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.
