Guangzhou AV Fair 2013. Jolida Showed their latest gear. There are in fact 2 companies called Jolida. One from China ( pictured here) and one in the USA. Due to a serious breakdown in co-operation and accusations on both sides, Jolida (USA) had the original Chinese designs made in another Chinese factory for sale in the USA only, while Jolida ( China) sell under their own brand in the USA and the rest of the world. The Chinese company sued the American in the USA and lost. In any event, their 200W Music Envoy power amps have gained a formidable reputation in the USA and wherever they are sold. All of the original designs were by a somewhat reclusive Mr Liu, an electronics engineer of high repute in China. He left the company to form his own Doge Electronics Co. Doge do an advanced version of the Jolida Music Envoy monoblocks - the Doge 9. Mr Lius company also designs and builds all the electronics for the German Company Lua. The Lua Alborada Mk 2 ( Doge 9) has received rave reviews in Germany and sells for around 7,000 euro. The Jolida Music Envoy sells for around $7000 USD in USA and about $3k in China. The Doge 9 is around $4k in China and I am told will be at the show next year.
