Gugu Mbatha-Raw first garnered my admiration with her reoccurring - TopicsExpress

Gugu Mbatha-Raw first garnered my admiration with her reoccurring role on the legendary British science fiction television series, “Doctor Who.” Playing the sister of The Doctors companion, the storylines just couldnt include enough of this talented beauty to quell my interest. Born in Oxford, England and educated as an actor in London, Gugulethu Sophia Mbatha-Raw has benefited from having worldly, professional parents, with her father being a doctor from South Africa, and her mother a British nurse. Although Gugu didnt follow in their medical footsteps, Id love to be her patient. I would sigh to her, “Gugu, Gugu, Gugu” whenever she graced me with her presence. Luckily for her fans, this Brit has crossed the pond and established herself in America, garnering roles in Tom Hank’s 2011 hit film “Larry Crowne” and the briefly ran J.J. Abrams series “Undercovers” on NBC. However, many Americans will remember Gugu from season one of Fox’s fantasy-thriller “Touch.” Look for her next in Amma Asantes Belle, playing, Dido Elizabeth Belle, a mixed-race aristocrat in 18th century England. I’m so glad that I SAW HER FIRST among my pals, so they will have to FIND THEIR OWN rising starlet. ;)
