Guys, we are collaborating with Route of Love 2013. It is a next semester event. The objectives of this Event are: 1) To create awareness and raise fund for the poor family 2) To donate and help those poor families in Kampar Area 2) To create awareness on 3R (Reuse, reduce and recycle) 3) Serves as a platform to foster good relationship among participants that love cycling. What do they do? They organize this cycling event is to collect participating fees as part of the funds from all participants and it will be donated to few poor families in Kampar. These people are categorized as poor based on the income and their family members. This categorization is done by the State Government. “A charity for the poor families” The reason behind for Route of Love committees to choose the poor families as their targeted people that they wanted to help is because of – why help someone far that we can neither see nor hear about them, why not help someone that is close or near to us? Those people who we might meet on the street or Pasar Malam. These people that have been living through difficult life especially nowadays, price hiking in many household items. I bet many of us too are feeling the pinch! So, why not we donate something to them? It can be in Money form or even Items. Why collaborating with us? Actually REUSE and RECYCLING can be a part of charity to needy. The old clothing we wore, the old/repairable electrical appliances we used can be donated to them as part of the REUSING concept. On top of that RECYCLING those recyclable items, the money can be donated to them as part of the charity, buying them some household necessities. We hope that all those out there who which to be part of this charity can participate as a cyclist for this ROUTE OF LOVE or donate those unwanted items to us(Green Team) or even BOTH for Charity and Go Green too~ We will inform you all when the collection is going to start. Do keep updated ya!! Best Regards, UTAR Green Team ~Green to Live, Live to Green~
