HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE! What a day to be thankful and I have many things and people to be thankful for...Recovery has been going very well and my doctor and medical team have been helpful, attentive, and kind. Dr. Blanks and the team of Gateway Medical Center; this thank you goes out to you and the fantastic surgery and quick recovery Im experiencing. Sadly; it will still be at least a month before I can return to work and the medical bills have begun to come in. Though with my new coverage; I will not be in as much hot water as I once suspected. The money I have raised WILL need to cover the bills as well as the unfortunate costs for being an unemployed independent contractor. If you do still have room to give; it will be helpful, but as I mentioned before, please do not place any burden or urgency on yourselves, especially during the holiday season when there are others in your lives who require your generosities. On another note; I have a few more people I would like to show gratitude to. First and foremost; everyone who has...or has wanted to give to this gofundme...THANK YOU! I know how difficult it is to watch money leave your bank account without having something to show for it. I hope to correct that and have plans to begin providing some entertaining content on my Youtube page in the very near future. Its not much, but its the least I can do to show my gratitude to all my new friends and family. Speaking of family...I would also like to thank my very dear friend Matthew Eberle and his household for inviting Desiree and I to be a part of their Thanksgivings. Its hard to be reminded during the holidays that your blood relatives rejected you, but the blow is softened by friends eager to take their place. I would also like to thank Eric Cajiuat and the cast of the Titanic Experience for keeping my hopes up and a seat on the ship warm for me. I look forward to seeing you all soon. Similarly, I would like to thank those who have offered all of the invaluable financial or medical advice and connections. Often knowledge is the kindest thing we can share with someone and though it may seem only to detract time from us, it is still valuable and appreciated. I also want to thank all the wonderful friends, from the bottom of my hearts, who have been visiting me during my recovery and often times becoming nurses to a very fussy patient. I know so many of you are very busy or live far away, so do not feel compelled, but these visits have been SO wonderful as Im a bit of a social butterfly and when people are around it makes me feel like I am still connected to the rest of the world even though I am stuck in bed ALL DAY. Each visit has been so special to me. Thank you. Last...BUT BY NO MEANS, least. I would like to thank the Belles of Bedlam. The Belles of Bedlam is a Folk band that primarily plays at Faires and is a phenomenal group of ladies whose kindness and talent are well known amongst the community. This wonderful group of girls was kind enough to deliver a Wheelchair and a batch of my favorite dessert, brownies, to my door this morning. They didnt even stick around for personal gratitude...just left the chair and ran. I encourage those who have not seen this band to PLEASE check them out. I know they probably werent looking for a plug, but theyre getting one! https://facebook/bellesofbedlam Happy Holidays and/or Pleasant Seasons, one and all. May joy and kindness find you, even in hardship, as has been the case for me.
