HAS MEETING UPDATE: Next weeks Feb. 6 club meeting will indeed take place in Simperman Hall, but will be in room 114 instead of 123 (which was the room number in the prior email sent today). So, 7 p.m. Feb. 6 in Simperman room 114 is the meeting, and observing at the Neuman scope will occur afterwards at 8 p.m., weather permitting. Also weather permitting is this Fridays observing led by David Rotness in the Elkhorns. He says that a great amateur astronomer from Townsend with his own 18-inch scope will be along for this observing night under dark skies, and David will bring a scope, too. Again: email David at mt_astronomer@msn if you plan to attend. Everyone should meet at Carrolls Campus Center at 7 pm Friday, Jan. 31, in front of the Campus Center (southeast corner of the building) to carpool out to the viewing site in the Elkhorns. David can also meet people at the Papa Rays parking lot if they would like to go there rather than Carroll. Give him 20-30 minutes more to get to Papa Rays from Carroll (so be at Papa Rays no later than 7:20).
