HAVE YOU HAD PLAYFUL GODWINKS? “I have two younger brothers that are only a year apart in age. Years ago my parents divorced and my GRANDMOTHER came to live with and care for us. She was a godly, loving grandma to three SMALL, MOTHERLESS CHILDREN who was determined to raise us to know Jesus as our Savior. EVERY SUNDAY, Grandma would dress the boys in IDENTICAL SHIRTS and take us all to church. Many people thought the boys were twins. Years passed, and my grandmother sadly died. Both boys grew up MOVED AWAY from each other, to different states. Then, we had a FAMILY REUNION. My brothers had NOT SEEN EACH OTHER IN SEVERAL YEARS, nor had they spoken for some time. But everyone was blown away ... they showed up at the reunion WEARING THE SAME SHIRT … purchased in different states! No one could explain the “coincidence,” what you call a GODWINK, and everyone marveled at it. It was also a great opportunity to recall and reminisce about how much our godly Grandma had loved them, PRAYED EVERY DAY for them, and had taken them to CHURCH every Sunday for many years … DRESSED JUST ALIKE.” Lois Ann Vernier •••• THANK GOD for GRANDMA’S!
