HCST secured first position in National Student Space Challenge organized by ISRO & KCRC held in IIT, Kharagpur: Anil Khadka (B.Tech EI, 4th Year), Divyanshu Shukla (B.Tech EI, 4th Year) and Sanyam Kalsotra (B.Tech ME, 3rd Year) of Hindustan College of Science & Technology secured 1st position in “SUBMERGE-2”, event of NATIONAL STUDENT SPACE CHALLENGE held at IIT Kharagpur, which was organized by ISRO and Kalpana Chawla Research Centre. A total number of 526 teams participated in NSSC from all over India. In final round of SUBMERGE-2 event total 15 teams all over India gave each other very tough competition. The Team from HINDIUSTAN COLLEGE OF SCIENC E & TECHNOLOGY (Anil Khadka, Divyanshu Shukla & Sanyam Kalsotra) completed their task in record time of 6 minutes and 53 seconds. A team from Bangalore secured 2nd position completing their task in 10 minutes 53 seconds and 3rd position was secured by Jabalpur Team taking a time of 14 minutes 41 seconds. NSSC is India’s one and only space science and engineering competition open to college students throughout India. Organized by Space Technology Students’ Society (spAts) of IIT Kharagpur, under the banner of Indian Space Research Organization & Kalpana Chawla aResearch Centre , this ambitious initiative provides a platform to young budding technocrats to show their talent at National Level and compete against each other.
