HER ONE YEAR OF LIFE HAS BEEN A HARD ONE FOR POOR SIMBA **** SHE HAS HAD BETTER EXPERIENCES WITH ANIMALS THAN PEOPLE ***** NEW HOPE RESCUE ONLY **** LOVED THE INTERACTION WITH THE VOLUNTEER * ** STARVED GIRL NEEDS KINDNESS AND CARE So glad we have lots of pictures of Simba so everyone can see how emaciated, thin she is. Her spine and ribs stand out. I would never have thought she was only 1 year old. That year has BEEN VERY HARD on this young stray. She does not have a contagious skin condition, but does have dermatitus. I am sure the cause of her skin condition is caused largely by malnutrition. We have pictures, video of her but no volunteer comments. During assessment she growled and attempted to bite and gulped her food during the food test(Surprise). Yet on the dog to dog she had a soft body to the helper dog. Evidently better experiences with animals than humans! The volunteer that had Simba out petted her and gave her treats and Simba was loving the touches and petting. CAN WE PLEASE CHANGE HER LIFE AROUND. SHE COULD HAVE SO MANY GOOD YEARS LEFT. PLEASE FOSTER OR ADOPT SIMBA, IT WILL BE SO REWARDING FOR BOTH OF YOU.
