HEY, DO YOU LIKE TO COOK PAKISTANI CUISINE? In a few days POOR RICH BOY, a great underground rock band from Lahore, Pakistan, will tour the U.S. for the first time. Poor Rich Boy is not a new name when it comes to underground music in Pakistan. The band is known primarily for its frenzy-filled and high energy performances. With lyrics in English, the band has created a niche and an exclusive fan following for itself over the span of almost six years. Their U.S. tour is part of Center Stage, a performing arts exchange program initiated by the U.S. State Departments Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Poor Rich Boy will play at both The Kennedy Center (June 3rd) and Lincoln Center (June 19th) during their month-long tour, and were super-excited and pleased that theyve chosen to play at Sandywoods Center for the Arts as well, on THURSDAY, JUNE 5. Aquidneck Islands own BON KENDALL & NERVE PILL will share the night. Wed love to treat these guys to some homemade Pakistani cuisine before the concert. Anyone out there interested in volunteering to prepare a simple meal? You are welcome to use the Sandywoods kitchen.
