In SPPs view, Australia needs to transition its housing and construction industries back to a sustainable level, and invest more of our scarce economic capital (including the $18 billion going into East West Link tunnel) into highly productive and tradeable industries like manufacturing and agriculture. That way we have a chance to properly compete globally rather than seeing the continued shutdown or sell-off of uncompetitive and capital-starved factories and farms. Thoughts?
