¤¤HOW TO CREATE A CYPHER¤¤ Are you a rapper and want to create a cypher? You know just like BET does with Eminems shady 2.0 and Kanye Wests G.O.O.D music cyphers? Well this article will show you all what you need to know on how to make a DOPE cypher. Steps 1Get other rappers.Its not a cypher if you do it by yourself so you will need others to back you up. (3 or more is recommended by most because it creates a wide range of different flows). Make sure these guys can spit at least moderate (because if they suck you will get bad ratings but if they are moderate it will look like you slayed them). If you all can spit great though it creates a competition feel. bottom line get other rappers to join you because it is also lots of fun when others can spit with each other! You will also need a host (person who introduces the title of the cypher and sometimes the rappers) this can be you because you had the idea or someone you choose. the host has to be excited to present because it makes it look like everyone is gonna bring their A game. If he is all down in the dumps it looks dumb and unprofessional. 2Whether you rent a place, do it outside, or even in your basement, make it unique!Do whatever you can to create the feel for a cypher. (ex: you could have it traditional with speakers all around and a DJ in the back ground spinning the beat or you can have the speakers out of site no DJ and papers scattered everywhere to create a sense that you have been perfecting your rhymes for days) 3If you have/know a DJ that can produce beats and has his own turntables to scratch then you can ask him but if you dont have turntables than you can just get him to create a beat with a music software such as Logic or FL studio.Either way works it just depend on the strings you can pull and the friends you got. 4Have good quality speakers set around you, (some to put out the beat others to put out your vocals); a good mic and a high quality video camera(s) to film. 5If you only filmed with one camera all you will have to do is check to make sure the vocals are crisp and the video isnt blurred/crappy quality.If you record with multiple cameras however you will need to arrange all the shots how you want them and check vocals and video (this can look cool but takes more work) you can use iMovie or windows movie maker to edit. 6Decide on freestyle or written.Cyphers used to be all freestyling where you would get handed the mic then spit off the top of your head. Now a days though more and more Cyphers are being written because they can think of better lyrics and punch lines a head of time. All you have to decide is are you all going to write it or freestyle it (dont mix because if all you guys free styled and one guy wrote his verse with 6 days of thought it will looked like he is the king and he killed you...and thats just not fare!) 7Promote it.All you can do really is post it on all social networking sites available and post links as well. One thing you can also do (depending on who your friends are) is get the local radio station to shout it out and post it on their website or social network profile. One more option to have the tip of the iceberg is make as many flyers as you can with the link, the description, and the people in it all on the flyer. Put them everywhere.
