HUMILITY Part 2 It’s only by the grace of God that we are who we are. 1 Cor. 15:10. And Paul also said: “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” Rom. 9:16. So, if we have been blessed on some area of these-His-lives-in-us, let us rejoice in thanksgiving to our heavenly Father! But let us be careful not to boast about these wonderful gifts to others. We have no idea what others might be going through in their personal lives. We may end up boasting about our wonderful children and their great accomplishments, or how cute our baby is, or how athletic our children are. But others nearby may have lost a child recently or in the past, or maybe their beloved child is severely disabled and will never be athletic, or suffered brain damage during a seizure and will never graduate high school. Let’s have compassion on those who are hurting.
