Had an adorable moment teaching class today. In the middle of one of my classes one of my students suddenly said his wrist hurt after we had just been sitting cross legged. I asked him to show me and he had the tiniest little scab on his wrist. So I firmly enveloped his hand in both of mine and said on the count of three he needs to kiap. I count to three and only I kiaped. So I tell him its only going to work if he kiaps too. So I count again and he kiaps really loud. His eyes are wide and I ask him if it still hurts and he says no and is all excited. Next of course a couple of kids say something hurts and I heal them. Obviously I have no super powers, but it shows how influencial confidence can be. And how some some times we just need to be distracted from excuses that hold us back.
