Read on (below) for a note from David with heartwarming testimonies from last year... tixwise.co.il/he/messiahforsurvivors Shalom and blessing to all our friends. We at “Kamti” and the “Liturgi-Kal” Concert Choir have been exploring ways in which we can make our concerts available to those in Israel who otherwise might not be able to come, particularly Holocaust Survivors. A group of fifty attended last year and we would love to double that this year. One of the ways to expand that ministry is by a plan which was initiated by Roy Kendall in which audiences were given opportunity to sponsor these folks. So… would anyone out there be interested in purchasing tickets to a performance of Handel’s Messiah in Hebrew in April (in Israel)? If you are living in North America or Europe, it probably wouldn’t be feasible for you to attend, but would you sponsor a few tickets for the Holocaust survivors? The reduced price of a ticket is 70 shekels, or about $20 USD. You could buy from our box office service on the internet a block of tickets, say 5 (about $100) and if you need a receipt from our non-profit in Israel, send me off a little note describing the transaction and a return address. We will see that the funds are used only for that purpose, apart from the fact that the ticketing service takes a small percentage, of course. Each $20 would enable one Holocaust survivor to come, and also to obtain during intermission, a hot drink and snack. I will include a short list of the reactions to this plan by those who participated in it last March. (All currencies are accepted.) Words from the Holocaust survivors after the concert of “Messiah” in Or Akiva, 21st March: “I felt like this was like a fresh water experience. Like going under the waters of the Jordan and coming up refreshed.” “This brought much joy into our lives for those of us that have nothing but trials since childhood.” “God sees all you’re doing and he will return the blessing back to you.” “Physical bread is important, but what you gave us tonight was like bread for our soul.” Online tickets for survivors:
