Happy Birthday (to all) Shelter Dogs! August 1 is officially the start of DOGust and is also the Universal Birthday to some of our favorite residents. On behalf of all the dogs at the Sacramento SPCA, Chaco (9 y/o Great Dane mix) was given a surprise party by our Camp Kindness kids! They sang Happy Birthday and gave him a gourmet dog cookie which he loved. His favorite part was probably the 19 hugs and pets he received from the kids, but we think the cookie was well received too ;) Very well-behaved, a friend to kids and other dogs and house trained, Chaco will make a great companion! Perhaps today hell find his forever home?
