Happy New Year! Gosh, another year has slipped by. Last year on January 1, 2014 I went to the hospital for an emergency surgery and I am still not totally healed from that experience. New Year’s Resolutions This year on January 1st, I vow not to have another emergency trip in an ambulance and I vow not to have another appendicitis surgery. I vow to spend more time in my recliner chair with my feet up. My medical instructions are to be in my recliner at least three times a day with my feet up for at least 30-minutes each time. I don’t think I have had more than two times a day and most of the time has been only once a day. I vow to buy some water pills like Diuretic and increase the amount of water pills I take each day, to knock out this excess fluid, just as doctors had done in treating me in New York. I have increased the dosage on my water pill, and that is helping to get rid of the excess fluid and the pains in my kidneys have greatly reduced as well. I vow to buy more water pills and stay on the increased dosage. Yep, another year has slipped by us. I ponder on where the year has gone, while reading AARP Magazine, sitting perched upon my throne. Another year has gone by so blooming fast, Ive hardly had time to sharpen the blades and mow the grass. It seems like autumn leaves fell just the other day, now a fresh dust of frost covers over the new spring hay. Ill try again to garden, come this spring I will, but for now, my aching back cries out for the afternoon pain pill. Again in autumn the leaves will fall, as I awaken early to drag myself to the bathroom down the hall. Oh but we go on, from day to day, with thoughts of our family and friends, never far away. We gaze at the pictures of relatives and an old friend, while knowing that another year has now, come to an end. Chin up my family and friends, for today this New Year begins. Happy New Year to All.
