Happy New Year! Thank you for all your support last year with our attempt to raise the £4,461 as we rowed the 4,461km from Falmouth to Sierra Leone, I am pleased to say that we completed the distance within the month time limit and the EducAid orphanage bought a brand new generator with the funds and had a Christmas with the lights on. But that was last year and we are now in 2015! It is hoped that approval will be granted soon for children to return to school and with the UKs help the districts of Sierra Leone are slowly being designated as Ebola free. Once the country has bought this terrible disease under control the next step is to re-establish the civic services. EducAid will have a key role providing an education of over 3000 children as the country prepares for life after Ebola. Stretched for resources there is little or no funding available for the basic school essentials required to complete their much needed education. Therefore we are, once again, asking for your help. We are trying to raise the means to supply the 3,000 children of EducAid with school equipment for a year and help them on the way to a better future, a future that without education holds little hope for anything other than desolation. You can help by a number of means any of which will have a real and positive affect on the welfare of an underprivileged child in Sierra Leone.
