Happy Saturday! This is the last day of the Madison County Fair and sale day for the livestock kids! Wishing them good luck for a great price for their animals….they have all earned it! I am sure tears will flow but lessons learned! I had a fabulous day at the fair yesterday. I got to see my nephews, Todd and Tony, and that alone made for a great day! I love, love, love these guys! Alyson did not get done with livestock judging in time to participate in the Horse Fun Show but she did ride Sophie later in the day. We are anxious to get our sweet mare home and settled back in here on the farm. Old Nan will be returning to the herd as well. She has been missed! Kevin and I picked up a wagon load of hay when he got home from work. It is safely in the barn ready to be unloaded for winter feed. We also have a wagon of straw to be unloaded as soon as the fair is over. Preparing for the winter months with livestock is always a summer job! We will be leaving early in the morning to help move our crew home from the fair. It will take three trips with trucks and trailers but I think we are up for the job! I have missed the littles running in and out of our home this week! Enjoy your day and come out to the last day of the fair if you are able……I am loving my small town USA!
