Happy birthday José Carreras! This Catalan tenor, born on the 5th of December 1946, is one of the legendary Three tenors (José Carreras, Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti Official). He started singing and performing very young: at eleven, he sang at the Gran Teatre del Liceu (as a soprano). By the age of 28 he had already sung 24 different roles in the leading opera houses of Europe and America. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed leukemia in 1987 which he fought, and he came back on stage in 1988.
