Harjeshwar Pal Singh- Objections about Balkar Sidhu are- 1) He is a outsider to the constituency.An outsider makes sense only if you dont have able and local candidate which is clearly not the case here. 2) He managed his ticket due to proxity to Bhagwant maan and sadhu singh not based on work or merit . 3)It sets a wrong precedent ,volunteers will preffer to do chamcha Giri to leaders rather than work in the grassroots 4)The decision was not by democratic procedure based on volunteer and voters views or through voting by the executive but due to personal pressure by Bhagwant . 5) Giving tickets to such celebrities gives the impression that the party is not interested in nurturing its own grass root leadership . 6) Giving ticket to a worker from a humble background would have further established the reputation of AAP as a party with a difference and would have led to a classic David vs Goalith contest ,the one to savour for ages. 7) AAPs USP has been its ideology and promise of being better than others which leads to passionate support by jehadi volunteers and supporters ,the cooling down of this passion is incalculable after this compromise. 8) It clearly showed that indviduals and their whims are superior to the party in Punjab. 9) The glee and euphoria among Congress and SAD supporters on the decision is proof that AAP has scored a self goal. 10) The local sentiment has been clearly against celebrities after the recent Jassi Jasraj episode ,by inflicting another one on them shows that the party refuses to learn a lesson from it . 11) The cult of Bhagwant Maan has now entered dangerous territory ,his one man show,authoritarian streak and love for publicity if not curtailed will do incalculable harm to the party. 12) The episode clearly shows that Kejriwal and company have lost their self confidence and sense of clarity after making this compromise ignoring common sense .
