Harry Potters relationship with Sirius Black was almost like a friendship that people nowadays form with somebody over the internet or text message considering they seldom saw eachother. I wonder if JK Rowling intended for it to be similar because I know a lot of people these days can relate. I really think its an interesting concept. Id also like to throw in that you dont need to know somebody your whole life to really care about them. Harry only knew Sirius for two years maximum, but it still hurt him terribly when he died. The same concept applies in real life.
