Has anyone been accidentally stuck? What was the scenario? Early in my career I was sticking an 88 yr old woman with crappy veins. I used a butterfly. She sneezed and jerked, the butterfly got yanked out of her arm and swung around and poked my hand. I was wearing gloves but theyre no protection against sharp objects. I felt the prick in my skin, though there was no visible hole or blood. We tested her for specific diseases and I was tested a few months later. All was well, but its scary how quickly things can happen. One more reason for not using butterflies, LOL, though had it been a straight needle Im afraid she might have even hurt herself
