Have you also asked yourself whether the verdict given did have racial factors involved? After following the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Most of you are reacting with emotions more than looking at the facts of the case. George Zimmerman wasnt acquitted of self defense but on reasonable doubt. The media circus has swayed people by the hype force fed to them by the media and their own personal feelings and biases have gotten the best of them. In the city of Sanford, Florida , neighborhood watch members are NOT allowed to carry a legally permitted deadly force weapon while on patrol(only officers). #2. When he called in the suspicious behavior, he was ORDERED by dispatchers to stay in the car and observe trayvon until police enforcement arrived. He DID NOT do so and continued to pursue Trayvon for reasons of which he took upon himself to get out of the car WITH HIS weapon drawn and approached him. Trayvon was a seveteen year old African American teenager who was walking home wearing a dark coloured hoodie carrying skittles and a soft drink and was unfortunately racially profiled. The alleged aggrevated assault on GZ could have been dealt with in many other forms.Prior to this incident Trayvon had no past history of run ins with the law.It is evident and unfortunate that race DID play a factor in this trial however i do not believe it was the MAIN reason of the final verdict&outcome. The jury mainly women who were all mothers, based their decision on the testimonials & evidence which were perplexing when we relfect on the 911 distress call when mothers of both sides (Zimmerman& Martin) claim the screams heard in the call were their sons, On the defendants side, the jury found no holes in witness statements contrary to witness accounts of Rachel Jeantel. In conclusion , A fair trial was given to both sides despite the unfortunate outcome of the verdict which we did not expect. In awake of this matter respect and privacy should be granted to Trayvons family whom suffer the most, the loss of a son.I strongly believe instead of turning this into a racial debate or having this lead to violence, we must become leaders in our communities, set examples for todays generation of youth and raise awareness against violence. In order for all of us to co exist in peace we must interlace our positivity, leave out religious differences, accept & respect all creeds and walks of life & that..Will lead to a beautiful thing. Rest in Peace, Trayvon Martin
