Have you ever considered taking the IAM Skill for Life Course? Do you have a full, class A motorcycle licence? Do you live in Cumbria? Would you like a £100 contribution from Cumbria County Council towards the cost of the course? Then check out this page: cumbria.gov.uk/communications/news/motorbike.asp The IAM Skill for Life Course costs £149, but if you qualify for this grant you will get £100 back once you have completed the course and taken the test. MBEAM covers South Cumbria and North Lancashire, and provide the Skill for Life course on behalf of the IAM. If you want more details, send an email to [email protected]. If you wish to take the course with MBEAM we can apply for the funding on your behalf. Note that the funding runs until April 2015 and places are limited. (Once you have been accepted for funding, you need to pay the full cost of the course. Once the course is completed and you have taken the Advanced test, we will invoice CCC for the £100, when we receive the cash from them, we will send you a cheque for £100. The course will need to be completed within 1 year, but if there is a delay due to MBEAMs resources, e.g. assigning you an Observer due to Observer availability, this will be taken into account.)
