Have you heard a song that you relate to as if its spelling out the life you lived? https://youtube/watch?v=eAbfSqnPOnA Im reflecting on my life and its unique in every sense of the word. I grew up in Australia as a 4 year old kid living as an illegal immigrant. That meant I was denied health, education, stable housing and I cant tell you how many times I went to sleep hungry. Birthdays was the worst , no heat at home and moving from one shelter to another. Living underground is no life for any kid, the things youll get caught up is unbelievable. As a 15 year old, I had to work fulltime to support my mother and sister. It was hard working in a developed nations black economy. Ive seen so many things I wish I never had. As an 18 year old, I decided that life has to be better and I worked hard to get into a 6 figure income. As a 23 year old, I paid more taxes than most people earned as a salary. Now, as a 33 year old, I decided to finally get a formal education. Youd think that would be easy but not at this university. I go to a prestige university and Im not from the same background of other students, the university said that I dont belong there. They locked me out of my classes, told me that I should go elsewhere and withdrew my degree path. Life is not easy and I had to fight hard to get where I am. Im just disappointed that Ive come to a stage in my life where I still get denied the opportunities that people would expect as a right. Im fighting hard to just be able to get an education and even had to sue for it. I love this country and couldnt be more proud to be a productive citizen. I will say that the University of Western Australia Business School should be ashamed for their action, they tried so hard to kick me out. They called me so many names, labelled me in derogatory ways and expect me to move on. Im not going anywhere and Im here to stay. My life is hard and whatever the university throws at me, I can take it and keep fighting. Now Im taking this fight public to the courts and the media. This is just another obstacle in my life. UWA picked on the wrong student, so let the Sparta begin. Im ready!
