Have you heard of the black dog curse that affects shelter animals in our area? Look at these sweet faces…this is Dumas, Roper and Reba. These babies were overlooked in our shelter…so we were overjoyed to learn they could be transported to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue in New York and adopted by eager, loving families! We do need your help, though. It costs our organization $105 to get each dog ready to adopt/send to rescue and although we recover some of our expenses through adoption fees, we do NOT collect adoption fees on dogs sent to rescue. The transport cost takes that much and more, so there is no money left over! Can you chip in whatever you can toward getting these babies out of Texas? That opens up space to save another and in case you think thats not important, visit the city shelter and see how many dogs (and cats) they get in each month. More than two hundred euthanized last month - can you help us make space to save more of them? $15 will help; $35 is 1/3 of the cost for one dog. Paypal is convenient - go through our website and indicate what its for, or let us know if you drop off or mail a check. We cant do this - we cant keep saving them - without your help.
