Have you treated yourself to this horrifying display of a lack of scientific literacy yet? Lets go through it step by step: 1. Theory in science does not mean an idea -- It means something that has been repeatedly confirmed via observation and experimentation. Just like Germ Theory and the Theory of Gravitation. 2. This guy claims we havent observed evolution. Think of evolution like a crime scene, and scientists are the detectives. The detective never sees the crime happen, but the blood on the floor can be sampled for DNA, the fingerprints can be collected, and sometimes the evidence is so clear that identifying the criminal is effortless. Evolutionary detective work is very similar; although the timespan in which evolution happens is BEYOND MASSIVE, the fossil record, DNA record, and geological records offer more than enough to confirm that its true. 3. Will has no place in evolution. Evolution is blind. No creature chooses to evolve, just like no creature chooses to age. It is a process; like it or not. 4. The tornado analogy doesnt work. Evolution happens when there are benefits to the genes survival (running faster, swimming deeper, biting sharper) – There is no benefit to the tornado if it randomly assembles a car out of parts. 5. “Everything in this earth was created perfectly for us to live in it” – No. We evolved to fit our surroundings. Many creatures evolved to NOT fit the earth. We have a name for those creatures: Extinct. This guy offers no new arguments. He just offers passion. Unfortunately, its a passion based on ignorance. He demonstrates no scientific literacy or understanding. Thats fine, I dont understand the finer points of a great many things, and thats why I shut up about them. Anything to add?
