Havent been very active on here lately....sorry all! I promised to share....and it is entered at the Iowa State Fair so no turning back! A cake decorator is their own worst critic. I decided to go smaller scale than what I wanted which forced me to adjust some things. And advice about fair conditions and humidity (which is a cakes worst nightmare in general) forced me to create the castle out of fondant instead of pulled sugar. The sugar just wouldnt have held up in those conditions. So, this is the alternative. I learned a lot and so far kids have been extremely giddy to see it so mission accomplished. :) Their smiles make it all worth it. Judging tomorrow and I will let you know how I made out!
