Having been challenged by Tony Lutkin, here are my Top 20 of records that have influenced me - more or less in chronological order with the exception of the three classical ones at the end. Difficult to differentiate between what influenced you and what do you like but tried to be objective. I challenge Matt Wallis, Arthur South and Angus Tillson to let us know what their influences are. Here are mine: 1. 666 – Aphrodite’s Child 2. Abraxas – Santana 3. Tapestry – Carol King 4. A Song for You - Carpenters 5. Trick of the Tail – Genesis 6. How Dare You – 10cc 7. Songs in the Key of Life – Stevie Wonder 8. Now That We Found Love – Third World 9. Risqué – Chic 10. Scary Monsters – David Bowie 11. Diana – Diana Ross 12. Journeys to Glory – Spandau Ballet 13. Searching for the Young Soul Rebels – Dexy’s Midnight Runners 14. Dare – Human League 15. The Sound of The Jam - The Jam (sorry, too many albums to choose just one) 16. Play – Moby 17. Supernatural – Santana 18. Messiah – Handel 19. The Magic Flute – Mozart 20. 1812 Overture - Tchaikovsky
