Having been through/seen the horrors of a barn fire (8 horses including some foals lost...ceiling collapse) knowing what to do, how to do it, how to FIND it, and usually in the dark....all challenges faced by EM responders. Most are wearing gear, cannot fumble with rope halters, and have no time to remove debris in aisles/doorways. Clear out, organize, have everything ready (and even then...the odds are against you that the horses will even want to leave their stall with a large unknown person rasping in a respirator mask). Be prepaired
