Heat Pipe failure? I havent seen this discussed as a hypothesis to explain repeated failures. If the fluid leaks out of the heat pipe, the fluid vapor doesnt move heat from the processors out to the fans possibly leading to GPU BGA failure. I still think someone who wants to make a difference should seek professional failure analysis (FA). A failed heat pipe should result in high fan speed, high temperature on the GPU, and the air coming out of the fan not being as hot as it should be. My laptop had three boards replaced. The third replaced board has lasted over a year, but it was also accompanied by replacement of the lower case, keyboard, hinge bezel, and trackpad (almost everything) for free. (This is where Apple depot repair is better than unauthorized repair.) https://youtube/watch?v=2vk5B6Gga10 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_pipe https://ifixit/Guide/MacBook+Pro+15-Inch+Unibody+Early+2011+Logic+Board+Replacement/5899
