Heirloom seeds: seeds that only God and Mother Nature created. A.K.A.: not a biotech genetic monster, lol.... Use these seeds if you want to grow vegetables and fruits that: a. do not have pesticide in their DNA and... b. do not have genes of animals and insects mixed into them Yes. You heard me right; theres pesticide *in* GMO crops. Cant wash it off. And they keep increasing the amount of pesticide *inside* these seeds, inside the food you eat, as it becomes increasingly non-effective. Yes, you heard me right; the pesticide meant to increase crop yield....doesnt. Thats because Mother Nature adapts; there are super weeds that have sprung up in response to the pesticide used inside these crops. Oh, btw -- these crops that have pesticide *in* them? They also get the same pesticide sprayed *on* them. Not even kidding. And they dont die from this pesticide....the plants (weeds) around them are supposed to die though. Funny thing -- those weeds? They wind up not dying too. They get resistant to this pesticide (Round-Up is the commercial name for this pesticide, and Glyphosate is the more science-y name for it)....the weeds get not just resistant to Glyphosate, but they also get more virulent. They get stronger. So, what do the Big Agra companies do? They increase the pesticide ceiling. And when they have to go above that ceiling to get the results they want (dead weeds, even tho the weeds still arent dying)....? They just petition the govt to get that safe tolerance level lifted. And, what do you get, consumer? MORE PESTICIDES in your body. Pretty horrible. So. Get these heirloom seeds. Save your gut bacteria, the DNA in your body from being poisoned, and also....get a tomato that tastes wonderful. Or some asparagus, or cabbage, or the like....just make sure its heirloom. :D Its what Mother Nature made for you....and she didnt put any pesticide in its DNA. Or combine its DNA with animal and/or insect genes.... :D
