Hello All... This is Minion Ann and I have a sweater update! I thought that picking out the yarn was going to be as simple as grabbing any hank of grayish wool out of its cubby and going my merry way. Not so - especially if Liz had anything to do with it! Liz is also a minion at The Shop and happens to be a bit of a Color-Wiz. She helped me to pick a yarn that would flatter my natural coloring and deftly steered me away from colors that would make me look, gross. I had been longing for a little POP of color but had no idea how to step away from my comfort zone of black-brown-beige. There is nothing wrong with those colors - its just time we had a little space. Its not them, its me. So, I snapped so pictures of Liz demonstrating how to test a color on yourself. She stole away several skeins of yarn that were appealing to her and then held them up, two at a time, on either side of her face. Going through the yarn this way, she always kept the better looking of the pair and returned the off looking one to its shelf, weeding them out until there were only two skeins left. This decision was the hardest, but after Jenn and Mim were consulted she decided that this rosy-hued merino was a yarn that would fully compliment her natural beauty. We found a delightful plumby colored cotton blend for my sweater that looks perfect, and its a color I would probably never would have chosen on my own. I am very excited to get started!!
